The Concept Homes
The Picket Fence
The Picket Fence concept home originated from insights from Wave 3 of the America at Home Study. The 3-story rental townhome + ADU was designed to advance the liability of urban infill townhomes and provide renters with the same opportunity to enjoy private outdoor spaces more typical of for-sale homes. It will be built in an off-site factory using volumetric modular construction, assembled on-site in Pittsburgh, and has defined sustainability and resilience goals.
The 412
The 412 concept home originated from insights from Wave 3 of the America At Home Study. This paired townhome was designed from the inside out to support how people live today while focusing on their holistic wellness. It will be built in an off-site factory using volumentric modular construction, assembled on-site in Pittsburgh, and has defined sustainability and resilience goals.
The Barnaby
The first America at Home Study Concept Home: The Barnaby was born out of the behavior and perspective changes Americans experienced at home during the first year of the COVID-19 pandemic, and stories shared by almost 7,000 Americans. It is believed to be the first home intentionally designed in response to the radical changes spurred by the pandemic.
